I have seldom entertained without help from Dinah ... and seldom was I not
asked about "that singer" we've been hearing.
"Music to dust by ... " (everyone seems to want a compilation/keepsake
of Dinah) ... many follow her footsteps -- as I once did -- deep into the genre
that is jazz. Such is the accessibility of a singer who bridged the old
and the new ... the standards and the emerging world of R&B and soul. For
many, Dinah's an easy choice and satisfying affliction.

partial to those which only she sung (Funny Thing, etc.) ... as if they
could never be topped. |

secondly, similarly definitive renderings (dynamic, superlative
arrangements) /// If I Were a Bell |
